Applying for leave in StaffSuite Go
Leave requests start on the employee's phone. In StaffSuite Go, the Vacation Request screen is where an employee chooses a leave type and submits an application. Vacation Overview gives them an overview of their leave, and My Holiday Requests lists the requests they have made with their approval status, which updates in real time.
The app also shows the company's leave policy, the holiday calendar and weekend days, so employees can check the rules before they apply.
Leave types you can use
StaffSuite Admin works with these kinds of leave:
- Sick leave
- Casual leave
- Paid leave
- Custom leave types that follow your own company policy
Custom leave types sit next to the standard ones, so you can mirror the policy your company already follows instead of squeezing it into a fixed list. Employees pick from the same types when they apply in StaffSuite Go.
When an employee cannot apply themselves, an admin can assign leave on their behalf from StaffSuite Admin, so the record stays complete.
Approving requests in StaffSuite Admin
When a new leave request arrives, StaffSuite Admin sends a push notification. The admin opens the request and approves or rejects it with a single tap. The approval workflow is synced in real time with StaffSuite Go, so the employee sees the decision without having to ask.
Approved leave and WFH also appear on the live dashboard, beside the staff who are present, absent or late today.
Work-from-home requests
Remote and hybrid teams request work-from-home days through the same flow as leave, and admins can track those requests over time. On an approved WFH day the office location check is bypassed for that employee, so a check-in from home goes through, and the day is marked as WFH on their monthly attendance calendar.
Holidays, weekly offs and shifts
Leave is easier to plan against a clear calendar. In StaffSuite Admin you set the company's holidays, add custom company holidays and define weekly off days. You can also configure work hours and shift timings, so everyone works from the same schedule.
Holidays and weekends also show in StaffSuite Go, so an employee planning time off can see which days are already non-working days before sending a request.
Keeping everyone informed
StaffSuite Go sends a push notification when a leave request is approved or rejected, and for announcements and other status updates. Company notices can also go on the notice board, which tracks whether each notice has been read.
Included in every plan
Leave management and WFH management are part of every StaffSuite plan, from Starter for up to 10 employees to Enterprise for up to 100.
